How we work

How we make prevention work.

Data & trust

Local data and trust

PreventUs connects data from separate, disconnected healthcare systems into one reliable picture, so screening programmes can be properly evaluated and improved.

We do this through open standards such as HL7, FHIR, and openEHR. Existing systems don't need to be replaced, and data doesn't need to move to one central location: each system keeps its own data, and the platform brings the relevant pieces together whenever needed, for example to link a result to a previous screening or to start a referral.

Data therefore stays within the country, while regions still build one comparable national picture together. This creates valuable insight to drive targeted improvement.

Citizens & participation

Citizens and participation

PreventUs automatically identifies who is eligible for screening and sends the invitation through the channel that works for that person: letter, email, or text message.

If someone doesn't respond within the set period, a reminder follows automatically, no one has to keep track of it manually. This way, invitations actually reach people, and no one is missed simply because they're hard to reach. Accessibility, trust, and simplicity are what make a screening programme succeed. With PreventUs, no one falls through the cracks.

AI

AI with a human touch

PreventUs uses AI to pre-sort images and test results, so radiologists and pathologists see the cases that need attention first.

Every image or sample is read twice, as standard. If the two readings disagree, a third reviewer settles it, and the professional always has the final say. AI takes over the sorting, not the reading: the time it frees up goes straight back into the conversation with the patient, exactly when a result is uncertain or serious.
